How Do I Automatically Post My Videos to Social Media?

Automatically posting your videos to social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube can streamline your content distribution and save you valuable time. This guide will walk you through the steps to connect your social media accounts and set up automatic posting for both new and existing video series.

Step 1: Connect Your Social Media Accounts

Before you can automatically post videos, you need to connect your social media accounts to Shortspilot.ai.

How to Connect Your Accounts

Navigate to Social Accounts

  • Go to https://www.shortspilot.ai/social.
  • Alternatively, from your dashboard, click on "Social Accounts".

Add a New Account

  • Click on the "+ Add Account" button.

Select a Platform

  • Choose either TikTok or YouTube from the list of available platforms.

Authorize the Connection

  • An external window will open prompting you to authorize Shortspilot.ai to access your social media account.
  • Confirm all required permissions to allow automatic posting.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the authorization.

Account Connected

  • Once authorized, your account will appear in the list of connected accounts.
  • You can now use this account for automatic posting.

Step 2: Set Up Automatic Posting for Your Video Series

After connecting your social media accounts, you need to link them to your video series to enable automatic posting.

Option A: When Creating a New Video Series

Go to Video Series

  • Navigate to https://www.shortspilot.ai/series.
  • Or click on "Video Series" in your dashboard.

Create a New Series

  • Click on the "Create New Series" button.

Select Video Type

  • Choose the type of video you want to create (e.g., AI Video, Reddit Stories, Fake Chat, Song Chat).

Connect Your Social Media Account

  • In the section labeled "Connect your social media account", select your connected account from the dropdown menu.

Finalize and Create Series

  • Fill out any additional required information for your video series.
  • Click on "Create Series" to save your settings.

Account Connected

  • Your new video series is now linked to your social media account.
  • Videos from this series will automatically post to your selected platform.

Option B: Connecting to an Existing Video Series

Go to Video Series

  • Navigate to https://www.shortspilot.ai/series.

Select Your Video Series

  • Click on the video series you want to connect to a social media account.

Connect Your Social Media Account

  • In the "Social Media Account Settings" section, find the dropdown menu.
  • Select your connected social media account from the list.

Save Your Changes

  • Click on the "Save" button to apply the changes.

Account Connected

  • Your existing video series is now linked to your social media account.
  • Future videos will automatically post to the selected platform.

Troubleshooting

  • Issues During Connection:
    • Pop-up Blockers: Ensure that your browser allows pop-ups, as the authorization window opens in a new window.
    • Multiple Accounts: If you have multiple social media accounts, make sure you're logged into the correct one before authorizing.
  • Authorization Errors:
    • Double-check that you have confirmed all required permissions during the authorization process.
    • If errors persist, try disconnecting and reconnecting the account.

Important Notes

  • TikTok Posting:
    • Due to TikTok's policies, automatic posting may require manual confirmation.
    • You might receive an email with the subject "[ACTION REQUIRED]: Confirm your video upload now!"
  • Posting to Multiple Accounts at Once:
    • We currently do not support connecting multiple social media accounts to the same video series. If you want to post to multiple accounts you will need multiple video series.
